It’s an exciting time around here as we prepare for the third installment of the Junkyard Pirate series. For a variety of reasons, Junkyard Spaceship has been slow to completion. Finally, we’re through a couple of rounds of editing (thank you dear Janet and Diane) and we’re off to beta readers.
With the manuscript out for beta, I’m able to set a date, which is tricky at the end of the year. I’ve had trouble in the past getting much traction when I’ve released close to major holidays. Add to that a hotly contested election and I ended up pushing out even further.
I’m pleased to announce that Junkyard Spaceship will be released December 1st, 2020.
The story starts out with our heroes AJ, Beverly and Jayne back in AJ’s junkyard. The action starts off right away as a Vred shuttle crashes into AJ’s house after being shot down by F16s. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so you’ll have to wait for the release to get much more than that.
I love the final artwork by Elias Stern. My lettering artist will use this oversized painting to cut out an eBook cover as well as a full color paperback cover. I’m always excited to see what Elias comes up with. If you want a larger version of this picture, you can probably click or tap on it.
