As a semi-retired software developer and full time writer, I’ve discovered a freedom of movement that I haven’t always enjoyed. To that end, Janet and I purchased a camper and have taken this mobile writing office on the road. If you’ve been reading the Biggston Thrillers, you know that the setting is in western Nebraska. And, while the town of Wood Creek and Butte County are fictitious, I want to also keep it realistic.
So, to celebrate the release of the third Biggston thriller; Manhunt at Sage Creek, we hatched the idea of taking a Biggston tour. The goal of the tour is to camp at locations that are near where Henry and Diva chase down the bad guys. If you’re wondering what I’m blathering about, you should consider reading the books ( https://fickledragon.com/henry-biggston-thriller-series/ ).
If you’re just along for the ride and enjoy camping topics. then welcome aboard. I’ll keep the posts short.
On day one, we’ve made it as far as Lake McConaughy near Ogalla, NE. The lake is quite beautiful, sand bottomed, 30,000 acres and fed by the Rocky Mountain snow melt. We’re just spending a single night and will be taking off shortly for Fort Robinson State Park.
