Fool Me Once is book #2 in the Privateer Tales series. The book is a 32,000 words long which puts it in the category of a novella. For those of you who don’t know how all that works. 80,000 words is a normal length for a novel so as you can tell this will be quite a bit shorter than that. This weekend is the last weekend for my wonderful group of beta readers. I’ve received the final input from three out of four of them. Once I have the final comments I will start working through whatever issues they have identified.

Length not withstanding, perhaps the most significant difference between Fool Me Once and Rookie Privateer is that Fool Me Once doesn’t actually follow my initial group of heros; Liam, Nick, Tabby and Marny but instead follows the pirate hostage they rescued from the base near Baru Manush.

Parley is book #3. As of this weekend (5/24/2014) I’ve reached the 25% mark. The plot is almost completely baked in and I am writing as fast as I possibly can. My current goal is to have Parley ready for publishing by the end of the summer of 2014. I am well ahead of schedule on this, but Summer is on the way so it’s hard to know what will come up.

Parley picks right back up with Liam and crew and will be a full length novel.
