I have coalesced the work of many readers into a final manuscript. Most of the hard editing work has been completed. I have learned a lot in the process and am confident my next book will go more smoothly.  I had several readers, many of them direct family. I know I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point without them. The lion’s share of the editing work was done by my sister Diane Muir of NammyNools.com and my wife, Janet. They both brought their incredible talents to bear on this work. It is fun to see people who I know and love focus on a project.

Editing has to be my least favorite part of the process. in truth I didn’t do very much of the editing work other than to review changes and ask for explanations of what turn out to be rules of grammar. I would ask, where was I when I should have been learning this in High School and college? The answer is simple. I ignored my teachers and professors. I had no interest in the subject. I think Diane and Janet would not find this surprising.

I am very excited to get past this stage. Publication of Rookie Privateer can not be far away.
